Last November I participated in a brickfilm initiation workshop at a LEGO exhibition in Bordeaux, France with Maxime Marion.
We had the pleasure to animate a giant metallic LEGO made by Green Workshop.
At the "Fans de Briques LEGO" exhibition two weeks ago, there was a brickfilm festival, "Ciné Briques". In the days prior to the festival, the public could rate the entries to the festival, and the top 10 has been screened in the theater Gaumont – Talence Universités. A jury composed of AFOLs and professionals has then chosen to reward my brickfilm "Indus" with the Golden Brick !
This Ciné Brique festival is paired with the canadian Ciné Briques, created by Marc-André Caron, in which Indus won the 9th place, and a Special Distinction: Silent Movie.
My next brickfilm should be out shortly, and will enter the brack.com/brickstars/>Brickstars 2014</lien> on Brick à Brack.
After several months of work, I published an AiwhaSound update, which adds 280 new sounds to this foley library, which makes a toal of 334 sounds. In this update, sci-fi sounds, street ambiances, trains, boxes, etc. A good diversity for this update.
In the other hand with all these new sounds the library is longer to download (about 20 minutes).
I'm already working on an online interface, which will allow you to browse and search the sounds and download them individually.
Finally, I haven't made any video for THAC X, the contest I wrote about in my last news. I couldn't find any good idea according to the theme (The Grand Unveiling) so I gave up. I compliment every brickfilmer who made and achieved this very particular challenge this year.
The most important unveiling in this article is the upload of my personnel sound library : AiwhaSound. It contains 95 records I made myself, and will surely be improve. Keep an eye on it.
Clic the link above or contact me for more informations about AiwhaSound.
The Brickstars 2012, the biggest french brickfilming contest ar now over. The results are visible on Brick à Brack.
Surprisingly I won the first price for the "Best Screenplay" award with my brickfilm Paris, 1850. I won a WWII German Heer Soldier custom minifigure provided by Brick Republic.
I thank our two sponsors for this event : Brick Republic and La Petite Brique, and also every contestant and the jury. I compliment the winners too. Everyone allowed this fourth edition of the Brickstars to be the best one, with a lot of entries and prices for the winners. See you next year !
Every year, Bricks In Motion hosts the THAC (Twenty-four Hours Animation Contest). This is a contest in which the contestants have to make a brickfilm, based on a theme, within 24 hours, from the writing to the upload.
I already entered this contest last year with A THAC Day and the year before with The Ambition To Prepare a Great Christmas Fest, and this year I will probablye enter once again. Expect a new video next week !
During THAC, you'll be able to follow my progression on Twitter (@BrunoLefevre). I'll maybe make a live video, but I've not made my choice yet.
My upcoming Brickfilm
Little by little, I work on my upcoming brickfilm, which is still unnamed. This brickfilm should be released after the one for THAC X, except in case of miracle or if I finally don't enter THAC.
Here is a set picture I made today :
Yes, I shoot a beach scene the December 24th.
Here is a project I've been working on for a few weeks, this is a sound library, named AiwhaSound, made of sounds I recorded. I'll upload it as soon as I have 100 sounds in it, and I'll update it from time to time.
To end this message, I wish you a Merry Christmas !
I didn't write on this website for a long, but the whole website has now changed. You can now browse the version 4 of Aiwha-Brickfilms.com.
Version 4 !
This news version has a soberer design, however it is adaptable to your favorite colors, and it is more blog oriented, all the news now appear on the homepage. I'll try to post more regularly on the website.
The other big change in this version is the apparition of the two little flags on the top left of the screen, which allows you to change the language of the website (English/French).
Except this, everything is quite similar to the old version, but many texts were slightly modified. The descriptions and informations about my brickfilms were rewritten, you can find my two Photo galeries and the two Brickfilm Quizzes as well as my series of articles about the Histoiry of Brickfilms.
My tutorial on How to make a brickfilm is now complete and you can read it in the Tutorials section next the a redirection to my tutorial about the chroma keying in Pinnacle Studio.
The "About" page was rewritten and is now up to date, this is also from this page that you can contact me.
The Guestbook is still there, and now supports the BaBCode as well as the rest of the website.
A new useful tool is now implemented : the search bar</gras>, which will search your keywords in the different sections of the website : Brickfilms, News...
